Behold

A loved one recently shared with me a deep desire of his. He held suspicion of his heart in this desire and wasn’t sure if it was pure or holy. My heart was so stirred by the beauty of his raw ache. This poem came pouring out in response to his beautiful heart. May we know our desires flow from and lead us to the Source of all desire, the home of our eros: the Hearts of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.

Behold
Be bold
He told you YES.

he told you lies
behind screens
like a spy
in your beautiful mind
your heart opened wide.

Don’t listen, my dear
to the spinning of fear
of your greatest gift
the desire for sheer.

A tear (drop)
for the tear of the veil
between Heaven and here
where we meet
in the liminal
subliminal sphere
held by I AM
in the gaze of wonderment, discovery, awe

Let it be done
Through her without flaw.

Behold, I make all things new.
Beauty saw.
Your skin is raw.
Like a newborn swaddled in fresh wineskin
Flesh of Divine kin
Beheld by the Mother of all mankind

Renew our mind
in the rush of rainbowaterfall
and the still point

where field and sky dance
on horizons of sturdy rock
where he climbs
my heart
to the top of
our fiat

Behold
Be bold.
in trembling we unfold
this gift He foretold.
from the Hearts made of gold.
