An Advent Prayer

Heavenly Father, it is my great desire to grow closer to You through this Advent season. Lord, even in the midst of the busy-ness, I will seek You. With Your help, I will keep my heart and mind focused on You.

Lord I ask that You would convict me in any moment when I’ve wandered away from You and into worry or stress or anxiety. Please lovingly nudge me back to center. Pull my heart to You Jesus.

Thank you that You, Lord of all the universe, humbled yourself to enter my life, once initially through Mary’s womb, and forevermore through the gift of Your Holy Spirit, who abides within me. Thank you for allowing me to experience Your presence in a very palpable and powerful way this Advent! In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!
