Immanuel means “God with us.” He is listening and attuned to you at every moment; listening to your heart, your needs and desires.
We use this journaling process to actively engage with God in particulars moments, situations, or emotions where we need to experience His presence and His love. This process is based on God’s attunement, described in Exodus 3:7-8:
Then the Lord said, “I have seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters; I know their sufferings, 8 and I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and broad land, a land flowing with milk and honey…
God sees you.
God hears you.
God understands how big this is for you.
God is with you, & glad to be with you.
God is for you – He will do something about this.
