The world we live in is difficult and the circumstances of our lives are often laden with heavy trials and worries. Yet we are asked by the Lord to live in this world confidently and positively. But how? By practicing St. Therese’s Little Way, we can free our hearts through the greatest act of littleness that ever was: trusting self-surrender and radical hope in He who renews us and fills us with peace.
St. Therese of Lisieux was a humble woman who boldly dreamed and dared to find a new way to heaven. This “new way” was a spiritual transformation, a conversion of heart and a shift in habitual thinking that nurtured a disposition of loving trust; love of the good news shared in the Gospel, and trust in God’s love and mercy despite our weaknesses.
Join the You Are Made New Lenten Book Club Retreat and boldly make new your path to holiness! First given as a retreat by renowned author Father Jacques Phillipe, The Way of Trust and Love navigates excerpts of St. Therese’s writings phrase by phrase, extracting powerful, resonating insights.
“Paved with surrendered trust, we will journey this path together as we learn to be illuminated beacons of the good news. Strengthened by the Holy Spirit, let us open our hearts to trusting evermore in God’s mercy and love!
I am looking forward to reading and sharing with you. I can’t wait to see what the Lord has planned for us!” – Kate Huhn
