What the Church Really Teaches About Marital Intimacy

We are so blessed to have Father Hoffa, Pastor of Holy Guardian Angels Parish in Reading, PA, to present our workshop for September. Father Hoffa will discuss the teachings of the Catholic Church when it comes to marital intimacy. His teaching will include:
- What is marital intimacy and what is it not
- The understanding of marital intimacy both in the Church’s teaching as well as in secular society
- What the Church teaches vs. what we THINK She teaches regarding marital intimacy
- The misrepresentation of our understanding of “the marital debt”
- The true Catholic interpretation of Eph 5:21-33 regarding the submissiveness of wives to their husbands
- The true Catholic interpretation of 1 Cor 7:1-5 regarding the reciprocal self-giving/self-donation in marriage and how it mirrors Christ’s self-giving of Himself to His Bride, the Church
