“Healing Through Creativity”

It is possible to discover growth and healing through creativity. We can enter into a creative dialogue with God, the Divine Artist, and discover the unique way He speaks to our hearts through our creativity. Imagine your spiritual journey expressed in color!
Laura offers a time of healing through creativity. These groups are therapeutic and life-giving, helping participants connect with God and themselves. Being creative is a beautiful way to pray, and no artistic skill or talent is needed. Through the use of artistic mediums (such as paint, colored pencils, collage, and clay) to create a beautiful expression of difficult emotions, traumatic memories, or wounds is therapeutic and life-giving.
The healing power of God made visible in our artwork is something that continues to bring us closer to Him. Allowing the creative process to become our prayer or dialogue with Our Creator is what brings us closer to healing. It is not the finished product; it is the process of allowing Him to see our vulnerable hearts and speak to them through color and images. It is in these moments that we can experience inner peacefulness and a respite from “doing.”
In this workshop, we will:
- Hear Laura’s personal story of the healing power of art
- Listen and discover God’s gift of creativity in each of our hearts
- Be inspired in our personal healing journey by discovering how God wants to use our gift of creativity to bring us closer to Him
