De explores the spiritual senses, senses given to us by God to help us come to know that which is spiritual in nature, most especially, God Himself.
Father God, Thank you for choosing Mary to carry and bear our Lord Jesus into the world; to be His mother and later our mother too. Thank You for preserving her from sin and giving her to us as an example of holiness. Help us to follow her closely and allow her to lead us to her Son. Let us look to her as a guiding force, pointing the way for us to Heaven and its eternal rewards.
Blessed Mary, we honor you. You responded to God with trust and humility. You model for us how to give our hearts fully to Him, believing that He will provide all that we need.
We reflect on your life and all the moments where your faith was tested and grew.
In the Annunciation, you stepped into the unknown by giving your wholehearted yes to the angel.
In the Visitation, you went to your cousin Elizabeth, and like her we too recognize the Lord within you and in our midst.
In the Nativity, you brought the Savior of the World into existence. He is your Son and our Brother.
In the Presentation at the Temple, you brought Jesus to be honored. We honor Him as well and we present our lives to Him.
In the finding in the Temple, you experienced real worry and fear. When we are afraid, help us to turn to you as our mother.
At the cross, you faced the greatest agony of your life. Help us to join you at the cross and to bring our struggles to Jesus. We are sorrowful and we weep with you. We honor Jesus’ sacrifice for us and the whole world.
At the resurrection, you were with the disciples and you heard the glorious news. Help us to hear this news and receive it again with open hearts.
At the descent of the Holy Spirit, you were there in the Upper room. You received the breath of God and were empowered to carry on the work of beginning the Church.
At your Assumption, you were called into Heaven and crowned as Queen forever. We trust you to intercede for us until we come into eternal life.
Thank you for being the ultimate model of womanhood. In all stages and in all places, you are there with us. You walk alongside each of us and pray for us to be holy. Without your freely given yes, there would be no Church for us as we know it today. Your yes brought about the Incarnation of our Lord and we give you our deepest gratitude.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, we pray. Amen.
