Jesus allowed Himself to be wounded and opened, creating a safe haven for us to bring our wounded hearts and open to Him. We can snuggle into Him, press our wounded hearts right up against His wounded Heart and tell Him everything.
Be strong and of good courage, and act. Do not be afraid or dismayed; for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of the Lord is finished. – 1 Chronicles 28:20, King David to his son Solomon
Heavenly Father, I believe that You are always with me and You will never fail me nor forsake me. I pray for the courage to endure my trials with my eyes always on You. Show me how to stay open and courageously vulnerable so I may not miss any of the highs or the lows that You would have me experience along my pilgrim’s journey through this world.
Lord Jesus, give me the courage to sit with others who are hurting and the grace to stay quiet and simply listen. I pray that I may follow Your example in offering my love and prayers to those who would mistreat, misunderstand, or misjudge me. I know that to grow in this grace, I must take time everyday to sit still with You. I promise to give You moments of my time each day and ask You to quiet my mind, still my thoughts and grant me a more courageous heart, day-by-day. Thank You for Your constant love and guidance. In Your Name, Amen.
