A Prayer of Easter Restoration

For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. – Romans 6:5

Dear Lord,
Thank You for the glorious gift of Your resurrection. Thank You for rescuing and giving me the gift of eternal life. As I live in the glory of this season, help me to joyfully run and embrace the hope of Your empty tomb. Like the disciples, I often feel lost and confused and I doubt your presence among us. Help me to keep my gaze focused on You and to seek You in all moments. In this season of the resurrection, I want to know You as the restorer. Revive my weary spirit and grant me newfound peace and joy in the hope of all that Your resurrection promises me in this life and in Heaven to come. Open my eyes to the joys of being close to You. Help me to know You as the One who saves me, leads me, guides me, and restores me to wholeness and newness. You promise that You will make all things new and make a way for me in the wilderness. Jesus, I don’t want to live frightened or in shame, please help me to seek You and all things that are risen above. Draw me to new heights. Jesus, I trust in You!  In Your holy name, I pray, Amen.
