What will the Spring bring forth in me? Let me bloom Lord. Let the cold winter drive out every sadness and bitter memory.
Thank you guiding me through this Advent season, now drawing near its close. Pull me nearer and grant me rest with You in the comfort of our Blessed Mother’s womb. While we rest there another few days, complete my spirit’s preparation to meet you anew this Christmas morning. I am open, receptive, ready. Give me eyes to see and a heart to amaze at the reality of Your Incarnation. You are Light in the darkness. You are new Life in this present suffering. You are Hope in all that looks hopeless; Truth that untwists every distortion. You are Love. Love that floods my whole being in an overwhelming, yet perfect way.
Jesus, You are King of my Heart and Lover of my Soul. You are great and majestic forever! Yet, a fruit of the Advent season is meeting You as a precious baby, about to be placed in my arms for the first time. As I gaze upon the miracle of Emmanuel, God-with-us, teach my heart to hear Your still, small voice and to feel Your gentle presence. Jesus, thank You for these next days of slowing down and doing less, that I may spend more time contemplating You, receiving the Love You offer, and therein come to know who I am really am – Your chosen and beloved one. Amen.
The LORD, your God, is in your midst – Zephaniah 3:17
