A Prayer to Behold

Father God, how often do I look at the people whom You have placed in my life without ‘seeing’ them! I look through the filter of my own needs and wants, full of expectations and, at times, even demands. Oh Lord, remove the scales from my eyes & help me to truly see, to behold, those individuals whom You place in my life. May I look with the eyes of my heart, patiently contemplating each one as Your special creation. Teach me to consider how each person uniquely reflects Your image and likeness. Soften my heart and help me open more fully, attentive to others’ presence and ready to love. Amen.

The dignity of the human person is a transcendent value, always recognized as such by those who sincerely search for the truth. – St. John Paul the Great

“I am humbled and privileged to walk alongside my sisters in Christ, to be invited into their stories and life experiences. I pray we will each know – really claim in our bones - how deeply, unconditionally, and extravagantly we are loved by God our Father. May we open ourselves to His love and allow it to change our lives!” – De
