A Prayer for Victory in Righteousness

During the Lenten season, our Monday prayers will follow the theme of Victory in Christ, specifically by praying, section-by-section, the “Whole Armor of God Prayer,” written by Charles Stanley.

Good morning Lord. Thank you for assuring me of victory today, if I will but follow Your plan. Today, I prepare myself by putting on the breastplate of righteousness. Through this, I guard my heart and my emotions. I will not allow my heart to attach itself to anything that is impure. I will not allow my emotions to rule in my decisions. I will set them on what is right and good and just. I will live today by what is true, not by what I feel.

Lord, I go now rejoicing that You have chosen me to represent You to this lost and dying world. May others see Jesus in me, may Satan and his hosts shudder as Your power is made manifest in me. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN!

Stand firm therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth and having put on the breastplate of righteousness… – Ephesians 6:14

Denise (De) Yarrison guides women along the journey to spiritual and emotional healing, through coaching, deliverance prayer, and healing retreats. She is consistently awed at how very present our Lord is and has witnessed, again and again, the healing power of His deep Love for each one of us.

“I am humbled and privileged to walk alongside my sisters in Christ, to be invited into their stories and life experiences. I pray we will each know – really claim in our bones - how deeply, unconditionally, and extravagantly we are loved by God our Father. May we open ourselves to His love and allow it to change our lives!” – De
