Prayer for Silence

Lord, you come to me in the silence; the silence of that first Christmas and silently within myself each and everyday. Teach me the secret of silence. Help me to balance the time I spend in the exterior world with more time spent with You. Help me to silence my interior activity  – my imaginings,  sensitive feelings, impressions, idle thoughts- so I can hear Your voice.

“your word is light as a whisper and sounds without noise; a profound silence is necessary therefore to hear it. O Loving Incarnate word, who once with one movement of Your hand, silenced the winds and calmed the waves, deign to repeat this action in my soul, so that a great calm, a great silence will reign in it.” -Sister Elizabeth of the Trinity

“I am humbled and privileged to walk alongside my sisters in Christ, to be invited into their stories and life experiences. I pray we will each know – really claim in our bones - how deeply, unconditionally, and extravagantly we are loved by God our Father. May we open ourselves to His love and allow it to change our lives!” – De
